Vacancy

The Rev John Tallach retired in November after serving as minister of Cromarty Parish Church for eleven years. He and his wife Isobel were honoured at a Ceilidh on 29 October when a presentation was made to them and appreciation given for their ministry to the congregation and wider parish. John conducted his final service on 31 October with a sermon based on the text, "Follow me".
WIth the coordinated retirement of the ministers of both Cromarty Parish Church and Resolis and Urquhart Church, the charges became vacant on 5 November 2010 and the planned linkage between the two churches was implemented.
In anticipation of the vacancy in the newly-linked charge, the Presbytery of Ross appointed the Rev Fraser Stewart of Contin Church as Interim Moderator, and a joint Cromarty/Resolis & Urquhart Nominating Committee was formed to seek a new Minister.
One of the first tasks of a Nominating Committee was to prepare a Parish Profile. (Alternatively, the separate sections of the Parish Profile can be found under the left-hand Menu item.)
