THE APPROACH TO GOD
THE CALL TO WORSHIP:
Minister. Jesus came to preach good news to the poor.
People. Jesus came to proclaim release to the captives.
Minister. Jesus came to bring recovery of sight to the blind.
People. Jesus came to liberate those who are oppressed.
Minister. Jesus came to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.
People. God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy
Spirit which has been given to us.

Prayer of Approach (unison)
Eternal God, companion of all who seek you, and seeker of all who turn away from you, draw near to us that we may draw near to you and grant us the grace to love and serve you, that we may find in your will our true freedom; through Jesus Christ, the way, the truth and the life. AMEN
