Into All the World

Local supporters of the Wycliffe Bible Translators from Cromarty and Fortrose join together to meet for prayer four times a year. Occasionally, we have the pleasure of a visit from a Wycliffe missionary who is in Scotland at the time.

We are more actively involved in supporting the work of Blythswood Care. Towards Christmas-time the children and other groups help to gather items suitable for making up shoe boxes which are then transported to Eastern Europe or India/Pakistan for distribution to needy families. In 2010 we are filling boxes for Romania.

Over several years, the Sunday School children have supported two disabled Lebanese children at Al Kafa'at (Cedars Capability Centre) in Beirut, Lebanon. Charbel and Batoul have now moved to other accommodation. In February 2010 a final donation of £91 was given to BibleLands for general use.

Resolis & Urquhart congregation have supported Joy Community School in Zambia (www.jcszambia.org) since a visit by Latima Bupe to the Black Isle c.2004.

We have supported Love Russia's annual appeal for a number of years. Love Russia (www.loverussia.org) is a charity committed to improving the lives of thousands of orphaned and abandoned children and young adults living in deprived areas of Russia. The congregation sent 56 pairs of socks and £56 towards the 2010 appeal.

We also support other organisations such as Mission Aviation Fellowship (www.maf-uk.org) through prayer and retiring collections.
