Churches together

We appreciate fellowship in the gospel with members of St Regulus Church. Members of the two congregations — Church of Scotland and Scottish Episcopal — meet together for prayer and worship. Towards the end of 2004 we worked to produce a jointly-edited church magazine, Churches Together.

Dates for prayer groups meetings (monthly) and evening youth services (approximately four times a year) and special joint services can be found in the Diary.

An ecumenical discussion series was held during the 2008 Lenten season and a series on the life and writings of Dietrich Bonhoeffer in June. Prayers are held in St Regulus on Thursday mornings from 8.30 to 9.00am.

During the summer, two joint services are planned. On 20 July, both congregations will meet together in St Regulus at 11.30am. On 24 August, the West Church will host a joint service at 11.30am.

Starting in September 2008, the two churches will jointly sponsor an Alpha course in basic Christianity, meeting in the Royal Hotel on Tuesday evenings. Further details from John Tallach (600802) or Gillian Newman (600393).
