Children and Youth
Pathfinders
Pathfinders is the Sunday morning group for young children from age three to P2. We meet in the kitchen of the West Church from 11.20am until 12.30pm. We enjoy a wide variety of activities, including lively music and song, Bible stories and craft activities connected with what we are learning. Occasionally, we may watch a video or take part in a Family Service.
Trailblazers
Trailblazers are a children's group for primary P3–P7s. They meet in the West Church hall on a Sunday morning at 11.20am during the school term.
The aim is to give the children an understanding of what the Bible teaches about God, the Lord Jesus and our relationship with them.
Each year the children are taken for a two-night stay at the Scripture Union activity centre near Aviemore. As well as learning more about the Christian faith from a guest children's worker, they enjoy games, the assault course, a visit to the Landmark and a barbecue on Saturday evening. On Sunday they usually make a visit to another entertainment centre before returning to Cromarty.
Various events are arranged during the year to raise funds for the weekend outing. Help has been given in the past by the Community Council and the Church to help keep the costs down for the children as much as possible.
At each of the special days in the Christian calendar the children take part in family Church services.
